For a July 2016 challenge, we were asked to create a “Christmas in July” themed “some-thing-or-other” (no one ever says you have to just make cards). While spending time brainstorming, my 7 year old grand daughter popped in and asked if she could help me and this project was born!

I am going to be telling my age here but there was a time in my life when smart phones, cell phones, Blackberry’s or iPhone’s didn’t exist. My family moved to Florida and away from my cousins and grandmother and the only way to keep in touch was through letters and cards. There wasn’t any texting or FaceTime available like there is today.Don’t get me wrong — I LOVE that we have this new technology because I can send quick notes to my family and friends but I sure do love making and sending handmade cards. Here’s a few samples from a recent creative time in the art room!
I would like to challenge you to make and send a card today! Surprise a far away friend, a close neighbor, or to resident’s in a nursing home. To be sure — you will brighten someone’s day!
You too can go back Old School and save some money while you’re at it!
Come join the Stampin’ UP! team in June and get 2 FREE stamps sets in your starter kit. That’s right! That is an added value of up to $104, depending upon the stamps sets you chose. You already get $125 worth of any Stampin’ UP! Product for only $99 plus a $50 business supply pack — everything you need to get started. SO add all that up and you could get a total value of $279 for only $99. You have to hurry though…offer ends midnight on June 30th.
