Hello and welcome to the another episode of Stamp Set Sunday where we help the cost conscious crafter create 5 different projects using only one stamp set. This week’s feature stamp set is Over The Rainbow by Stampin’ UP!.
Hello everyone! Welcome to a new series: Stamp Set Sunday, where I will feature one stamp set to make 5 different projects. Every Sunday I will post a new stamp set, with instructions and photo’s and will link to the video as well. This weeks featured stamp set is Stampin’ UP! Sitting Here stamp set.
For a July 2016 challenge, we were asked to create a “Christmas in July” themed “some-thing-or-other” (no one ever says you have to just make cards). While spending time brainstorming, my 7 year old grand daughter popped in and asked if she could help me and this project was born!
I like to keep several cards on hand for birthday’s, thanks, just because or thinking of you’s but there is one sentiment that I simply have a hard time creating — a sympathy card. It means someone has experienced a loss so great and heart is broken and creating and giving a card with this sentiment just never seems enough! But, even with that, I sure do hope that receiving such a heartfelt card offers some solace for their loss! What are you favorite cards to have on hand? Least favorite? Or do you make each card as needed?
Stampin’ UP! launched a new catalog in June and I’ve been playing around with a few of our new products. Here I used our new Serene Scenery Designer Series paper pack along with Snow Place stamp set and Snow Friends Framelits Dies.
I am going to be telling my age here but there was a time in my life when smart phones, cell phones, Blackberry’s or iPhone’s didn’t exist. My family moved to Florida and away from my cousins and grandmother and the only way to keep in touch was through letters and cards. There wasn’t any texting or FaceTime available like there is today.Don’t get me wrong — I LOVE that we have this new technology because I can send quick notes to my family and friends but I sure do love making and sending handmade cards. Here’s a few samples from a recent creative time in the art room!
I would like to challenge you to make and send a card today! Surprise a far away friend, a close neighbor, or to resident’s in a nursing home. To be sure — you will brighten someone’s day!
You too can go back Old School and save some money while you’re at it!
Come join the Stampin’ UP! team in June and get 2 FREE stamps sets in your starter kit. That’s right! That is an added value of up to $104, depending upon the stamps sets you chose. SO add all that up and you could get a total value of $279 for only $99. You have to hurry though…offer ends midnight on June 30th.
